Over the past 10 to 15 years direct injection engines have become more and more popular; increased power and cleaner burning are just two of the positives, but do the positive affects outweigh the negatives? Just one of them is the increased carbon buildup noticed over the past decade, and the other is increased noise.
In an article published by AutoGuide.com, author Craig Cole drills down and tries to ascertain exactly what is going on with carbon buildup due to direct injection engines, and whether or not there are reasons for concern.
